pastenade
Pastenade, f. penac. Que le Languedoc approchant plus du Latin dit Pastenague. Est une espece d'herbe, dont la racine est en forme de rave, mais rougeastre et comme sanglante, et par artifice aussi en aucunes, jaunastre, qu'on use au manger, soit cuicte entre deux braises, ou bouillie, et trenchée de long ou en roüelles, et en salade, ou fricte, Pastinaca. Elle est differente de la carrote, tant en grosseur, longueur, et goust, que en ce qu'elle vient franchement de plant ou semence, et l'autre est communément sauvage, qui est dite par les Grecs Staphylinus.
